Demetra in EAP

· IDEs

Alex's post brings a lot of hope to seeing Demetra showing up in the Early Access Program soon, which currently still shows Irida. JetBrains released the roadmap for IDEA 6, and I can't wait to see how they improve IntelliJ - As I know these guys are capable of some amazing stuff. TheServerSide also summarised the roadmap a bit, if it seems too long for you. My appreciation to what's JetBrains has done to IDEs is beyond words. Can anyone actually remember how it was writing code Without refactoring? Or the ever helpful Code Inspection? I can't wait to see what they bring to the GUI scene, as they reinnovated GridBag last time. This time they need to face NetBeans' Matisse and their Swing Layout. Currently, the roadmap doesn't mention it, though. However, collaboration tools are being added: Instant messaging, P2P code synchronization, code reviews with a "follow me" option. No more need for third party plug ins, and probably better integrated than the current available ones. Now it's just waiting for the EAP to be released...
